The Clermont-Super-Besse circuit will welcome the big family of Andros e-Trophée for the 28th consecutive year, with a day of competition and entertainment on Saturday 29th January. And in front of a huge audience of 5,000 people an hour, we were writing these lines.
The Andros e-Trophy will now be played with only 12 100% electric SUVs (2 drivers per car, 1 driver in Elite Pro and 1 in Elite)!
The world’s first 100% electric car race revealed young talents such as Nicolas Prost, Nathaniel Berthon and Aurelien Panis. From now on, Andros Cars races are for VIPs only.
Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean will be present in the Elite Pro class and will share his car with Canal+ journalist Julien Fébreau.
The winner of the first Elite Pro Final at Pas-de-la-Case in Andorra, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Zoe-DA Racing) led the way. Nathanael Berthon (Peugeot 208) was fourth overall.
The Isola 2000 rounds on January 7th and 8th and Lans-en-Vercors on January 21st and 22nd may have redistributed the cards in this ultimate race for cars and bikes alike, but the show must still be there. You are in Sancy Heights. Sebastien Loeb, returning from the Paris Dakar, will be there to compete in the Elite Pro.
The Andros Cup is, above all, stories of men and women passionate about driving in the snow, willing to go the extra mile and put themselves “in danger”.
In 2020, for example, Daniel Elena, 9 times World Rally Champion as co-driver of Sebastien Loeb, was invited to the Enedis e-Trophée Andros in Super Besse. After 22 years of sitting in the passenger side reading traffic notes to Sebastien Loeb, the roles have finally reversed.
Daniel Elena was able to take the wheel and drive his Andros car, with Sebastien Loeb as co-driver. A nice nod to the history shrouded in the mystery of the Andros Cup.
Sports or media stars, actors, singers, local celebrities or even a former Miss France… Everyone loves the Andros Star event.
Taking the wheel or the handlebars in this competition is an undeniable privilege.
Renaud Lavillenie must be present in Andros Star as actor Tomer Sisley and pilots Xavier Pompidou, Tom Coronel and Thomas Neubauer. Big names will also be on the network, such as Youtubers Michou and Inoxtag.
If we talk a lot about cars, motorcycles also have a place of choice in the Super-Besse. When exposed to adverse weather conditions, cyclists do not lack courage and composure on the Auvergne ice.
The AMV Cup format remains unchanged with 14 riders entering the season plus 4 riders invited for each event.
The challenge is great for the two wheels who have to face the ice keeping their composure to win the AMV Cup.
